From Iowa and Back - The Vietnam Era represents years of community engagement, collaboration, and storytelling. The film offers a deeply personal exploration of the lives of ordinary Iowans who grew up in the 1950s and 60s, left the idyllic landscapes of small-town America, and faced the realities of wartime in foreign lands and at home. Through Glazier’s lens, the film chronicles these veterans’ journeys, from the turbulence of war to the challenges of reintegration upon returning home. It provides a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by a generation whose narratives have often been overshadowed by history.
